Portrait competition: Shortlisted finalists for 2021 Asian Contemporary Art Gallery portrait competition – how to vote for the popular winner

The last date for submission of entries for the 2021 Asian Contemporary Art Gallery portrait competition was Sunday 10 October 2021. The first round of judging was carried out during the four weeks that followed.

Six artists were shortlisted to proceed to the final round of judging (see below). The shortlisted artists were announced on our website on Sunday 7 November 2021 (portrait competition page).

The submitted artworks from the six finalists will be exhibited in our online gallery from January 2022 through to October 2022, and the artworks will be available for purchase using our online cart. Following purchase of a competition artwork, the artist will ship the artwork directly to the buyer from the artist’s studio, and Asian Contemporary Art Gallery will pay the artist in accordance with the Requirements & Instructions for the competition.

The winner of the competition will be announced on 31 December 2021 in a magazine article on this website, after which they will receive the competition prize of SGD 10,000.

There will also be a popular (people's choice) winner, as voted by registered members of Asian Contemporary Art Gallery. The people's choice will be announced on Sunday 6 November 2022, after which the artist will receive the SGD 1,000 prize.

To vote for the popular winner, you must be a ‘registered customer’ of Asian Contemporary Art Gallery. Registration is free, and is only required to ensure one vote per person.
